What is Rigpa?
Rigpa is an international Buddhist organisation dedicated to practising the teachings of the Buddha under the guidance of Sogyal Rinpoche and to making these teachings available to benefit as many people as possible. There are more than 100 Rigpa groups and centres in 23 countries around the world. Rigpa centres throughout Ireland offer a variety of courses based on The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying.
What information will I be required to submit and how does Rigpa collect it?
Rigpa collects information that you choose to submit to register and pay for attendance at events, to make a donation or to subscribe for membership. This includes information such as name, address or occupation. The services that you submit information for include online registration and payment for events, donations that you wish to make or payment of subscriptions.
By entering your details in the fields requested, you enable RIGPA and its service providers to provide you with the services you select. Whenever you provide such personal information, we will treat that information in accordance with this policy. When using your personal information RIGPA will act in accordance with current
legislation and according to the purpose outlined below.
For what purpose does Rigpa use my personal information?
Your personal information will be used for the purpose for which you provided it – e.g. to attend an event. It will also be used to administer, support and obtain feedback on the level of our services, to inform you of future events and to send you information that may be of interest to you.
We may share this information with other charities and organisations affiliated with Sogyal Rinpoche’s work (for example, Rigpa International, ZAM International, Terton Sogyal Trust or other National Rigpa’s). Also, if you post or send offensive, inappropriate or objectionable content anywhere on these websites or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour, RIGPA can use whatever information that is available to it about you to stop such behaviour.
We may share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting us in fraud prevention. We do so when: (1) permitted or required by law; or, (2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potentially fraudulent or unauthorised transactions; or, (3) investigating fraud which has already taken place. The information is not provided to these companies for marketing purposes.
Does Rigpa Ireland store credit card or bank account details that I may submit?
No, neither Rigpa Ireland or Dzogchen Beara store this information. For online payments, we work with a market leading provider. When you pay online, we do not have access to your credit card information and we do not store your credit card details anywhere on the www.dzogchenbeara.org or www.spiritualcareconference.ie or www.spiritualcare.ie web server. For forms that are sent by the post, any customer credit or debit card details are not stored once the payment has been processed.
How does Rigpa keep my information secure?
When you supply any personal information to www.rigpa.ie, www.dzogchenbeara.org, www.spiritualcare.ie or www.spritualcareconference.com, Rigpa takes all necessary measures to keep your personal information private and secure. Only authorised employees, agents and contractors (who have to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information.
All emails and newsletters from these websites allow you to opt out of further mailings. We maintain a secure IT environment and have the appropriate measures in place to prevent unauthorised access such as hacking.

Can I access the personal information that Rigpa holds on me?
